Throughout the years FINN is well-known all over the world in the field of sports. FINN developed many types of clapskates, skeleton sleighs etc. and made a constructive contribution to the Dutch bob teams Glas and Broeders. The very high quality and reliability of the FINN products, joined by a theoretical approach and with practical experiences, is the reason that many sportsman and sportswoman had success over the years with these products. At the coming Olympic Games in Turin - Italy, the FINN products will be shown extensively.
FINN is represented on the Olympic Winter Games at Turin with the following products.
The FINN Clapski -For the first time at Olympic Games
The FINN clapski gives a sportsman / sportswoman:
-
Up to 300N more push power
-
Up to 20% faster push time
On two accounts the clap ski differs from the conventional ski. First of all the hinge-joint is adjusted backwards and neatly fitted under the ball of foot. The boot has been changed also. The foot only is covered and that comes in very useful. By conventional skies the sportsman uses his toes only to create power. The hinge-joint under the ball of foot makes it possible to create much more power with less effort.
Owing to this the skier is less fatigued and yet develops more speed! The FIS has approved the new innovation. FINN may deliver this new system to sportsman /women all over the world. This newly invented system is right now in use by the Swede Mikael Ostberg and the Dutch champion Marianne Vlasveld.
